A cute blue dragon with large eyes sits in a snowy forest. It has small wings, light-colored horns, and frost-covered scales. Snow gently falls around it, creating a magical winter atmosphere.

In the Land of the Ice Dragon: Winter Tales from the Ochota District

Stories from Ochota

When the days grow shorter and colorful lights appear everywhere. When stalls filled with Christmas decorations, fairy lights, and sparkles pop up. When the air starts to smell of cloves and cinnamon, adults immerse themselves in the pre-Christmas bustle, and children dream of presents – that’s when the magic of Christmas begins.

A time when not only people, but also trees, squares, markets, streets, courtyards, and alleys – the whole neighborhood and the entire city – start to breathe in a different rhythm. It’s a time when stories awaken and are shared.

Stories of the traveler’s shop on Grójecka Street about Mr. Albert and the Ice Dragon on an exotic island, the Green Market about ancient customs and little barstuky, the kindergarten on Dickens Street about a little girl, a tiny kitten, and Silver Hoof the goat, who can be found in Park Szczęśliwicki as well as in the Kampinos Forest.

oin us for a magical walk through Ochota, full of wonders, secrets, and winter tales.

Stories from the OKO Neighborhood is a series of events organized by the Storytellers of Group 501. Who are the storytellers? They are people who share stories, fairy tales, and legends – and all of our tales are deeply rooted in our local area, Ochota and Warsaw.

Meetings with the storytellers are not performances – they are journeys through time and space, where we can discover the legends and histories of our district. Sitting on comfortable cushions, in a warm, intimate atmosphere, with soft music in the background, everyone can feel the magic of storytelling. It’s a moment of relaxation and shared discovery for the whole family.
