Bliss

Performance by Ramona Nagabczyńska

Ramona Nagabczyńska’s performance is a dialogue between Witkacy’s Treatise on the Existence in Itself and for Itself and the artist’s personal experience of childbirth.

In an exceptionally dynamic and humorous choreography, Nagabczyńska relates philosophical reflections on corporeality to the state of pregnancy, perceived as an intense “sense of inner well-being.” She presents pregnancy as an experience that transcends the individual. Although medicine tries to categorize it, it remains unpredictable and anxiety-inducing. In the choreography, the performer explores the transformation of body and emotions, drawing on myths and horror films.

The performance is produced by the Ochota Cultural Centre as part of the (M)others on Tour project, within Perform Europe.

The event is intended for adult audiences. During the performance, the Ochota Cultural Centre provides childcare for children aged 1–8. To use this service, please contact: beata.kwiatkowska@oko.com.pl
