We will talk about communication and creating a safe space for sharing experiences of art and nature. We will also show how to incorporate sensory-based practices. At the end, we will work together to find ways to make your events more open and accessible.
The workshop will be led by Adrianna Lau and Monika Matusiak-Kondefer from the Foundation for Accessible Visual Culture – Wielozmysły.
The Foundation for Accessible Visual Culture – Wielozmysły is an initiative that includes people with disabilities in experiencing and creating art. Since 2018, we have been working to make culture sensitive and open to diverse needs. We create space for shared experiences of culture and nature. Our activities are primarily aimed at blind and partially sighted people. We organize multi-sensory meetings and workshops around art. We also create various sensory materials, including audio descriptions and tactile graphics. Our activities have expanded to include topics connecting ecology, activism, and building new narratives. We carry out projects at the intersection of art, nature, and science. We collaborate with numerous cultural institutions, organizations, artists, and researchers.
The workshop is part of the project “Greengrocer with Ideas.”
Funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the National Centre for Culture program: Culture – Interventions. Edition 2025.
