The exhibition “Image or Emotion?” is an invitation to reflect on whether pure emotions can be conveyed through art without referring to any concrete reality. Hanna Gancarczyk encourages viewers to join a discussion on whether a genuine feeling can exist in art independently of context, or whether it needs a real point of reference to become fully understandable.
According to the artist, a true dialogue between the creator and the viewer cannot exist without something tangible — only then can we grasp what the artist truly feels. Abstraction offers endless possibilities for interpretation but can sometimes blur emotional truth. In a world saturated with everyday life, art remains an essential escape — a space of freedom where everyone can find their own meaning.
