THE FELDENKRAIS METHOD®
The Feldenkrais Method® is a gentle and effective way of working with both body and mind. The goal is not effort, but discovering greater ease, harmony, and freedom.
There is no competition, judgment, or fixed pattern during the sessions. Instead, you’ll find space for deeper self-awareness, presence, and discovering the kind of movement that serves you – movement that is truly yours.
The method was created by Moshe Feldenkrais (1904–1984), an Israeli physicist, scientist, and judoka. Today it is practiced worldwide, effectively supporting orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, psychotherapy, and more. In Switzerland, it is even covered by health insurance.
WHAT DO THE SESSIONS LOOK LIKE?
You lie down with your eyes closed while I guide you with my voice. You search for movement within yourself. You slow down, reduce effort, minimize range, and discover movement that feels lighter, calmer, and more fluid. Each lesson is different, engaging, and creative. Sessions last 40–50 minutes, and afterwards you stand up to notice how you feel.
The workshop also includes an introduction to the method, space for questions, reflections, and thoughts.
HOW TO PREPARE?
Bring a blanket and a mat to lie on (plus an extra blanket to cover yourself if you wish), and a small pillow. Wear warm, layered, and comfortable clothing, and bring extra socks – the sessions are not strenuous, and as time passes you may feel chilly.
We will take a lunch break halfway through. You can bring your own meal and eat on site or explore nearby options. Water, tea, and coffee will be available.
