Polish Traces in Moldova, Gagauzia, and Transnistria
Historical Meeting
We invite you to a story about a little-known country that lies surprisingly close – Moldova. Are there still Polish traces to be found there, and what historical connections did this country have with Poland?
What do we know about the mysterious land with the exotic-sounding name Gagauzia? Where is it located, and who are the people living there? But that’s not all. This will also be a journey to Podolia and Bessarabia. We will explore the “heart of the Dniester” and take a closer look at this fascinating land, where not long ago an unrecognized state – Transnistria – was established. Together, we will recall events from both distant and more recent history.
