Universal Design of Culture

Accessibility of Cultural Institutions

We are pleased to announce that the Ochota Cultural Centre is a beneficiary of Task 1 of the project “Universal Design of Culture – Accessibility of Cultural Institutions”, financed by the European Union under Action 3.3 “Systemic Improvement of Accessibility”, Priority III “Accessibility and Services for Persons with Disabilities” of the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 program.

The project will result in a systemic change, aimed at increasing accessibility understood not only as the removal of technical and architectural barriers, but also as a standard of creating and designing cultural offerings with the participatory involvement of the project’s target group – people with special needs.

The project is implemented by the National Centre for Culture in cooperation with the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons. More information about the project: www.nck.pl

The total budget of the project is PLN 29,694,500, of which:
  • PLN 24,503,901.40 (82.52% of eligible expenses) comes from European funds, 
  • PLN 5,190,598.60 from the state budget. 
The project will be implemented from 1 October 2023 to 31 March 2027.
